Hi there, we're a class of thirtynine. We moved on earlier from a class called fivesincerityoheight. We used to be together as a class, sadly after we graduated from zhenghuaprimaryschool we started to drift apart. This blog stands a special place in our hearts, because this is the only place and way that we can communicate casually again. If you're intending to spam our blog, because we suck, i suggest that you think twice. We're still talking, alive, so we will keep this blog kicking untill the day we die. PRELIMNARY ORAL 2009 .
Hello people, I guess you people might already know tomorrow is our Prelimnary Oral Exam.Ms Wong already let us know on our invigilator, and our testing, holding rooms respectively.
Though so I would still like to update on this matter ..
Kindly bring along these items:
1. Pencil Case
2. Friday's homework
3. Storybook
4. Waterbottle
5. Wallet (optional)
* Please note that pupils taking this prelimnary examination are not allowed to bring their handphones along, nor use their handphones in school. In case of urgent matters of family matters, kindly use the general office phone or the public phone. Thanks! *
Pupils may log onto www.blitztutor.com at home and access the oral learning portal if you want.
^.^ I hope all of us try their best tomorrow and just a few more pointers to take note !.
P/S: Greet teacher, bow to them and ask for permission to sit down.
(eg. "Good morning/afternoon, teachers. My name is Kerstin Wong from 6S. May I take a sit please?")
Reading Aloud
- Read out as loud as possible as examiners will not deduct marks for loudness.
- Read in fluent manner; If in any event a weird word is appeared, dont hesitate and just try to pronounce the way you think its correct. (Do not change speed to avoid suspiscious-ness of examiners.)
- Do not play with the materials given to you as examiners will not have a good impression of you.
Picture Discussion
- Read loud and fluently.
- Describe picture starting with a starter and an ending at the end.
- If possible, count while reading how many sentences/statements you have said. About 20 sentences will do. ->According to OLP
- Do not make inappropriate pauses in between.
- Provide every statement you make with an explanation of what made you said that.
- Include personal thoughts of the actions of the character.
Conversation
- Maintain eye contact with teachers.
- Try to speak in a more cheerful way than the dull dull way.
- Speak about personal experiences instead of trying to cook up stories that are not real.
- Pace your speed well.
- Use appropriate vocabularies and avoid pausing to think.
Ok, i've already typed the pointers out Ms Wong mentioned on Thursday.
